Fitting Your New Kitchen Handles & Knobs
06/07/2008 by admin.
Here are just a few tips on fitting your new kitchen handles and knobs from The Handle Studio,
- Make sure you have a small piece of timber to clamp to the back of the door when drilling through to prevent breakout.
- Use a drill bit that is slightly larger than the handle or knob fixing screw so that there is a little movement. For a M4 fixing screw use a 4.8mm drill bit.
- Always measure your handle for the hole centres and check them twice before drilling.
- If you are unsure before drilling your door, drill and fix your new handle or knob to a scrap piece of timber.
- Never drill your doors before having your handles or knobs in your hand.
